Offers assistance to affordable secure low–income housing The BHA increase provides programs to deter involve residents in crime prevention and youth from participating in gang activity. BHA partners with Broome County Urban League to provide a community computer lab for job training classes, educational services, job searches, small on–site business, and youth programs to assist residents to become economically self–sufficient.

Through generous support from the Binghamton Housing Authority, and other partners, the League, BCUL offers state of the art computer services including the IC3 - Internet and Core Computing Certification.

Employment Services provides the community with information to the regional labor market, access to job vacancy listings and referrals, assistance in assessing skills, aptitudes and abilities and information to training and apprenticeship programs.

Opportunities for Broome

A community action agency that provides advocacy for poor and disadvantaged people of Broome County to assist them in achieving economic independence. OFB programs include Head Start, Refugees Assistance, Emergency Housing Family Resource Program and Small Business Development that includes business start–up, starter local certification, and workshops re: bonding, financing, etc.

The Employment Unit provides a range of services, including job search and placement assistance, job readiness training, supportive services including day care and transportation, approved vocational training and WORKFARE. Services are supported and coordinated with the other Center members including the Tioga Workforce NY (WIA).

Provides seamless customer–driven employment services to businesses and people in the Tioga County area. Major partners at the Tioga Center include New York State Department of Labor Veterans' Employment Program and the federal Green Thumb program for persons 55, New York State Department of Labor, Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) and Tioga DSS.

Tioga Opportunities Program, Inc

TOP is a private, not for profit human service agency that administers the Community Services Block Grant [CSBG] program in Tioga County. The CSBG program provides assistance for reduction of poverty, revitalization of low–income communities, and empowerment of low–income families and individuals in rural and urban areas to become fully self–sufficient.
